Took trip to OR and WA state this summer & again early fall. Tasted some good wines at Chateau St. Michele in Woodinville, WA both times. Went there with Chris and Kris Johnson. It is a beautiful place. Every thing tasted very good. Todd Johnson joi…
I am an interesting senior?? who thinks younger than I really am (at least think I do). I have 3 grown sons who have become my good friends as we grow older, plus 2 beautiful, entertaining grandkids. My husband and I are still friends too after 44 yrs. of marriage. After all these years, we have not killed each other, although....well never mind. I started sampling wine when I was in my 40's as well as learning to ski. Wine tasting continued, skiing did not. Now living in Lake Co, near Napa, I have choice of the best wines. I am a lucky gal in many ways!
I just made $750 this week working from home for google. I cant believe how easy this is. Im recommending this to everyone, check out this guys google blog makemoneywith-google.com
Hey Linda, sorry for the delayed response to your message. Todd would confirm that I can be a bit slow in my responses to messages. Yes, it has been quite a long time since we last met. I actually have a recollection of visiting your house in Ukiah some 10+ years ago after Todd and I got back from our year in Germany. And, yes, of course I had the pleasure of your and Bob's company on a number of occasions when Todd was living here in San Francisco. I'm glad to see that you are traveling and enjoying life. I was actually up in the Russian River area this past weekend enjoying some lovely wines, amongst other things. Have you been to the Farmhouse Inn for dinner yet? It's pricey, but quite a wonderful dining experience. My girlfriend and I had a '04 Russian River Pinot Noir from Scherrer Vineyards there, which I would highly recommend seeking out...
I'm going to try to answer your questions... 1st, we were on Long Island and on the sea. It was gorgeous. The island itself forks and we were on the north fork where most of the wineries were. The south fork is where Montauk and the Hamptons are and we hope to go back sometime in the fall to check that out. There are only three wineries on the south fork but it'll still be fun as that's where all the blue bloods are. You know, Kennedy's and what have you. Old money.
The best winery of the day was Croteaux which I think you've read about here. They do rose exclusively from cloned French grapes and all three were very good. The winery pics where we're all in the deck chairs are taken there. It was a very mellow non-touristy place and the owners were super nice and accommodating. All around great.
Hi Linda!
Very pleased to "meet" you and thank you for your comment...it is a real mission to find something better than Hotel Biron in SF...since it was our favorite place with Todd,Chris and Kiki I would just go to the Ferry building to have a nice glass of crisp white wine by the bay bridge with a half dozen of oysters...I am on vacation rigght now in Brittany at my Dad s going to the beach enjoyin the seafood, crepes and cider and the beautiful landscape where I was born...take care nico
Linda! I did not make this hat, but I have made many hats and fascinators/hair ornaments. I'd be willing to bet I have something you *do* look good in! :-) This photo is from Fiesta del Mar, Too in Mt. View where we have dinner & margaritas every Friday. You should come!
My parents were good friends with someone with you name there and something about your profile really fit the bill. Funny that you have cousins there though! I would really love to go back one day. We lived in Crested Butte and from the pictures it looks beautiful!

So, I know Todd (and Chris) from Hotel Biron. Chris actually took that picture at Biron on a Sunday night when Todd was working.
The silly headline means "I am a cheese omlette." It comes from an old friend who claimed it was the only phrase in French she knew.
